Exercise needn’t be boring. There are so many different ways you can be active that not liking the gym is no longer a good enough excuse to avoid it. Granted, there was once a time when exercise was sitting on a stationary bike, pedaling slowly whilst staring at a wall, but not anymore. Gym exercise variety is huge! We don’t all like the same things, and that is why the Apple fitness is pushing boundaries, striving to appeal to our members. If you don’t like weight training in a traditional sense, try kettlebell training. Even if you do like weight training, a kettlebell will provide an interesting and useful variation to your normal lifting routine. If you are brand new to the gym and want to try weight training but are unsure where to start, you could always try an instructor-led weight training class such as Body Pump. With Body Pump you can select your own resistance levels, you are taught basic technique by an instructor, you are given a variety of exercises and you get to take part in a high intensity workout, building your strength at a rate you can cope with. We would much rather have people introduced to weight training using Body Pump than by having a poorly-designed, machine-based programme that teaches beginners absolutely nothing about technique. Zumba

Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts. Squats and lunges are also included. Approximately 14 million people take weekly Zumba classes in over 140,000 locations across more than 185 countries. The exercises include music with fast and slow rhythms, as well as resistance training. The music comes from the following dance styles: cumbia, salsa, merengue, mambo, flamenco, chachacha, reggaeton, soca, samba, hip hop music, axé music and tango. There are eight different types of classes for different levels of age and exertion.

Boot Camp Training

Boot Camp training often commences with dynamic stretching and running, followed by a wide variety of interval training, including lifting weights/objects, pulling rubber TRX straps, pushups/situps, plyometrics, and various types of intense explosive routines. Sessions usually finish with yoga stretching. Many other exercises using weights and/or body weight, are used to lose body fat, increase cardiovascular efficiency, increase strength, and help people get into a routine of regular exercise. The program offers nutrition advice as well.

Kettlebell Training

By their nature, typical kettlebell exercises build strength and endurance, particularly in the lower back, legs, and shoulders, and increase grip strength.The basic movements, such as the swing, snatch, and the clean and jerk, engage the entire body at once, and in a way that mimics real world activities such as shoveling or farm work. Unlike the exercises with dumbbells or barbells, kettlebell exercises often involve large numbers of repetitions. Kettlebell exercises are in their nature holistic; therefore they work several muscles simultaneously and may be repeated continuously for several minutes or with short breaks. This combination makes the exercise partially aerobic and more similar to high-intensity interval training rather than to traditional weight lifting.

Bodypump

BodyPump is a weight-based group-fitness program.The classes are performed to music using free weights-plates, barbells and an aerobic step. Participants choose their weights based on the exercise and their personal goals. Major muscle groups are worked via series of compound and isolation-based exercises including squats, presses and dead lifts. The focus is towards muscle endurance using several repetitions.

Power Yoga

Power yoga is a general term used in the West to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. Though many consider it to be "gym yoga," this style of practice was originally closely modeled on the Ashtanga method. Power yoga emphases on strength and flexibility, power yoga brought yoga into the gyms of America, and now we bring it to you at Apple Fitness. Though power yoga classes can vary widely, it will most likely appeal to people who are already quite fit, enjoy exercising, and want a minimal amount of chanting and meditation with their yoga. Prepare to work hard and work up a sweat.
